Global Internet
| February 12, 2005 Dear Global Internet customers: We have bad news and good news for you. First the bad news. We regret to inform you that, as of February 28th, Global Internet will no longer be doing dial up Internet services or web site hosting. This is not a decision that has come easy for us but over the past couple of years, competition in the dial up market has become increasingly stronger and, unfortunately for us, we can no longer keep up the pace. Even the web-hosting end of our business is getting more and more difficult to compete with. That’s why, at the end of this month, we will be stopping all activity. OK…now to the good news. We are in the process of transferring all of our accounts to a company we already have a great relationship with. In fact, they have already been providing a large portion of our dial up needs for the past several years. The company is USOL (US On-Line), located in Flint. In choosing the company that would take over our accounts we had several requirements:
There are additional bonuses from USOL to our dial in and web
hosting customers. For dial in customers, USOL has the NEW
high-speed dial up solution available to you. This means MUCH faster
surfing over your current phone line. For web hosting customers, you
will now have a web hosting control panel that you can log into and
better manage your own website and email services. You can add email
accounts yourself, set up auto reply messages when you’re away and a
large number of other important functions.
